Goodbye Mommy Hair....

I changed up my look this past weekend! Thanks to Jackie at Salon Posh in New Port Richey. She did an amazing job!! If you like it call her and tell her you want the "Natalie". Apparently I started a trend?

BBQ "Summers Family Style"!

My parents and my "little" brother came over one weekend this past summer and we had an awesome BBQ. I meant to share this with you this summer but.....I forgot! We made Beer-Can Chicken, Ribs, and Bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers! YUM!

Take a whole chicken and rub that bad boy down with some mayo! Then cover generously with Weber Beer Can Chicken Seasoning. The next step is a little nasty but you can do it! Rub mayo and seasoning inside the chicken. That's right inside. Get a good beer (has to be in a can not a bottle) and take about 3 swigs out of it then shove it right up that chicken's arse! We used Miller Lite cuz' we're country like that! Then grill the hell out of that chicken until it's done!

For the poppers take some jalapenos and cut them in half length wise then De-seed them. Keep a couple with the seeds and don't tell anyone. Then watch there face as they squirm! Fill with cream cheese, shredded cheddar, and Lawry's Season Salt. Then wrap a piece of bacon around it and secure with a toothpick. Place on a foil lined cookie sheet and grill.

Marty protecting the beer!

Family BBQ's are the best!

Mac-N-Cheese Pizza

In my last post I raved about this awesome Mac-N-Cheese pizza we had at The Lodge in Tampa. So I attempted to make it myself. Not so bad if I say so myself.....
  • Start with the usual store bought pizza dough.
  • I mixed Classico spaghetti sauce with some ricotta cheese and spread over dough.
  • For the Mac-N-Cheese part I cooked a pound of penne pasta then poured a jar of Classico Alfredo sauce in it. I added some Ricotta in it as well. Spread on top of the pizza dough.
  • Top with shredded cheddar cheese and cook in a 475 degree oven for about 10 minutes. Keep an eye on it!!
